Private Reserve - Marlborough Pinot Noir
While Private Reserve reds are powerful wines of intense flavour and structure, our Pinot Noir also has the delicate and refreshing complexity of the world’s most classic examples.
Pinot Noir is one of the original 6 classic ‘Noble Grape’ varieties. Did you know that Pinot Noir is the only grape allowed in the famous Red ‘Burgundies’ and is sometimes known as the ‘Queen’ of the reds? (Cabernet being the King.)
Private Reserve Marlborough Pinot Noir has silky tannins carrying notes of black cherry, raspberry, and herb flavours with a subtle dark spice. Food-friendly, it shows restrained toasty oak and well-balanced acidity.
This is the one Private Reserve red that does NOT contain grape skins as their presence would interfere with the delicate, bright, and subtle glorious character.
