Commercially, Amarone starts at about $50 a bottle. Known as Italy’s most powerful wine, Amarone is renowned as a full-bodied rich wine that achieves intensity from dried grape skins included in the fermentation.
This deep heavyweight of a red, exudes aromas of cherry, dried fruit, and dark chocolate. Followed by a spicy-earthy finish that goes on and on for miles from a huge volume of tannins.
